This year, Aurora made its debut in the First League of the Poltava Region Football Championship. At the bidding stage, the team did not have any particular ambitions to win, but only wanted to play at the highest level and gain valuable experience.
It was not easy at the beginning; the team was losing points in the standings. But this was follows by a series of successful games, with Aurora taking 2nd place in its group. In the play-off matches to get into the final, our players competed against FC Myrhorod, which they beat, with the score being 8-3 on the aggregate of two matches.
Next up was the final, where our opponents were a strong team, FC Karlivka, to whom Aurora lost 2 matches during the championship. So, this game was also not easy for our players: there were two overtime periods in addition to regular time. Nevertheless, our team demonstrated its true character and defeated its opponents 2-1.
That was the difficult path to victory in the debut championship of Poltava region. But it gave us even more satisfaction from the victory, as well as extremely valuable experience.
