On August 5, the agreement was signed and the new collaboration was presented at the Hirnyk Stadium in Kryvyi Rih. The women’s team of the football club is the first in Ukraine to get its own official sponsor. It’s a great pleasure for us to announce that our Company is honoured to support FC Kryvbas’s talented athletes.
However, this collaboration involves not only Aurora’s sponsorship of FC Kryvbas players in their début European Cup season, but also the implementation of a social responsibility program. It is aimed at actively promoting the principles of equal opportunities for women and men.
To implement a joint social responsibility program, our Company and WFC Kryvbas launched an informal platform called Equality Hub. The fact that this project has been initiated jointly by men and women, unlike the common all-female associations, makes it unique.
The platform is aimed to:
- Unite companies and individuals who share the quality of opportunity for women and men. This will help strengthen the actual fight against stereotypes, discrimination and its implications, and gender-based violence.
- Engage experts and opinion leaders in an ongoing discussion on gender equality to raise public awareness.
- Promote the exchange of experience and successful cases.
- Provide conditions that will increase opportunities for women and girls in traditionally “non-feminine” areas of activity, promote recognition and decent appreciation of women’s achievements.
We hope that the results of this initiative will be tangible not only at the level of the participants, but also at the level of the Kryvyi Rih community, and will cover the regions and Ukraine as a whole.
