The participants tested their strength in four disciplines: bench press, rowing on a simulator, air bike and dumbbell snatch.
The tournament’s chief judge was Vasyl Virastiuk, winner of the World’s Strongest Man in 2004. The competition showed that our defenders remain a role model not only on the battlefield, but also in sports.
Such competitions for military personnel and veterans are held in different cities of Ukraine. This year’s final is to take place in September in Bukovel. Veterans will compete to get a place in the Ukrainian national team that will go to the championship in Madrid, where they will compete at the Invictus Games. Europe and at the Arnold Classic Europe festival.
