Team competitions among veterans, known as The Invincible’s Valor, took place in Lutsk. All participants were Ukrainian defenders who have suffered various types of injuries or amputations.
“The Invincible’s Valor is a team competition among war veterans, organized by the Ukrainian Strongman Federation and the Ukrainian War Veterans Sports Federation.
War veterans from different regions of Ukraine gathered in Lutsk, forming 14 teams with three participants each. The competition featured four disciplines: kettlebell press, barbell press, stationary bike exercises for three minutes, and rowing on a simulator for 100 seconds. The chief referee of the competition was athlete Vasyl Virastiuk, who noted that self-discipline and sports are important for rehabilitation of veterans. He also emphasized the need for attention to military personnel.
The Invincible’s Valor in Lutsk was the 14th such event in Ukraine, marking the end of this season. According to Vasyl Virastiuk, it was the first time the event in Lutsk was held as a team competition. Two Lutsk natives, Taras Sasovskyi and Oleh Morhun, were selected for the National Team and will represent Ukraine at the international veterans’ competition in Madrid in October.
Aurora once again supported such competitions, as sports are among the most effective methods of reintegration of veterans into civilian life.
